Outro personagem da qual subestimei o tamanho do rosto, o Katsuki Bakugo do My Hero Academia.

Another character whose face size I underestimated, Katsuki Bakugo from My Hero Academia. The hair took a century to make (not just because of its size but because of the number of strands and its proportion relative to the face) and I also had to redraw different parts following the proportions.

This rework taught me another interesting aspect of drawing: when you pay attention to proportions and the references between one line and another, you can use spacings and alignments to help with the position of the elements. There's no universal way; you just "create your own conventions" as you draw, like:

"This strand is on the same straight line as this part of the eye."
"The lower part of the ear is aligned with the middle of the nose."

This happened several times during my studies. Sometimes, moving a single strand a few millimeters made the entire face structure look wrong, requiring new adjustments to the proportions.

Drawing time - 3h

This one I ended up giving up on partway, mainly because of the helmet and because the reference was a stylized image, with the character wrapped in darkness and blending light and dark features. But I was happy with the drawing of the eyes, the character's "trademark". The first representation of Nyxa Vox.

This drawing marks an important detail: the image used as reference was AI-generated. At the time I did this study, I wasn't aware of the discussions involving the use of this kind of image in model training and its impacts on artists. Today I try to give preference to works published by artists or to photographs. I'll leave a page detailing this issue to keep this history transparent rather than erasing it or pretending it never happened, and also to inform readers about the negative impact of this material.
